Murfreesboro Police charged a 31-year-old woman with prostitution Jan. 2 after the Vice unit reportedly found her operating at a motel on South Church Street.

Named Cai Dongmei, MPD Detective Sam Day said the suspect was discovered through an ad on backpage.com.

At the time of her arrest, Dongmei said she was a resident of Las Vegas. During booking, it was found that she is foreign national.

She was booked into the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center and was released on $6,500 bond.

Threatened by Toyota, maybe

A Murfreesboro woman said she was harassed by the "Toyota Warranty Customer Service Dept."

She said she received a phone call from someone claiming to be the "Toyota Warranty Customer Service Dept." offering an extended warranty. She said she declined the offer.

A short time later, she said she received a text message from the same number that said "you stupid dumb b—ch. I hope you and your husband die a miserable death."

Either it wasn't from Toyota or they have worse customer service than Comcast.
