Permobil Expands North American HQ


TNECD Commissioner Bob Rolfe was in Lebanon on Monday to celebrate Permobil's $15.5 million expansion at the company's North American headquarters.

Permobil, the global leader in trusted healthcare solutions for power and manual wheelchairs, aims to create 70 new jobs through the expansion.

“The contributions of our Permobil team are what enable us to enhance the lives of individuals living with disabilities, and we are excited about our expansion and the new jobs we are bringing to Wilson County," said Chuck Witkowski, president of Permobil Americas.

Since its founding 55 years ago, Permobil has enabled millions of end users with empowering innovations, including the first standing power wheelchair. Most recently, Permobil’s Explorer Mini was honored by TIME as a best invention of 2021 for being a groundbreaking mobility solution for children as young as 12 months of age.


Ultimate Linings Invests $30M+ in Lebanon

Governor Bill Lee and TNECD Commissioner Bob Rolfe announced Tuesday that Ultimate Linings, a global leader in protective coatings, will invest more than $30 million to relocate its manufacturing operations from Texas to Tennessee.

“Ultimate Linings’ expansion to Tennessee marks Wilson County’s eighth economic development project in the last year," said Commissioner Rolfe. "We appreciate this company’s $31 million investment in Lebanon and thank this community for its strong partnership in recruiting new businesses to Middle Tennessee.”

Wilson County has seen great success in the last year, with four of its eight projects landing in the first quarter of 2022.
