Red Bull Jukebox Takes Over Nashville's Pinnacle

Red Bull Jukebox made its highly anticipated return to Nashville on Saturday night at Nashville's newest venue, the Pinnacle. With its unique live music experience, the Jukebox gives the audience control of the setlist, including how artists reimagine favorite tunes and which special guests step into the spotlight. In the capital of country music, the next generation of country stars lit up the stage: Treaty Oak Revival, Ashley Cooke, Kashus Culpepper, Carter Faith, and more. In the months leading up to the event, fans were invited to cast their votes for setlist selections online and on-site via interactive voting mechanisms and light-up wristbands.

I spoke with three of the artists, Carter Faith, Ashley Cooke, and Treaty Oak Revival, before the show to get their take on the unusual format.

Carter Faith, whom I first saw singing as a Song Suffragette at the Listening Room, was the first performer. She told me, "It was special to me to play the Red Bull Jukebox because I never got to do a show that was picked entirely by fans.

She warmed up the room with her latest release, "Bar Star." Fans voted for Nashville songwriter Medium Build to join onstage for a heartfelt rendition of "Crying Over U." Faith also reimagined "Grudge" from her debut album Cherry Valley, performing it with a gospel choir before closing her set with the sassy "Sex, Drugs, & Country Music."

Be sure to catch Faith's radio hit, "Betty," that is now playing on Sirius's The Highway, and listen for her Christmas EP, A Cherry Valley Holiday.

Next came Alabama's country crooner Kashus Culpepper, who graced the stage with a raw, soulful set. A student of Southern music, he wove storytelling with husky vocals on tracks including "Pour Me Out," "Man Of His Word," and the Motown classic "Ain't No Mountain High Enough," accompanied by GRAMMY-nominated Maggie Rose. His performance was capped by a nod to his roots with a rendition of "Out of My Mind," performed with a drumline representing Alabama HBCU Talladega College.

The third performer was Music Spotlight artist Ashley Cooke, who brought her signature pop-country sound to the stage with a surprise appearance from GRAMMY Award-winning singer Colbie Caillat. Local Nashville DJ MOONLGHT then joined her, as she performed a beatbox remix medley of several of her hit songs.

She confessed, I'm curious how this is going to go because it's different than anything I've done before," which is kind of the beauty of this event."

Hot off the release of her new project ace, she rolled through fan favorites "the hell you are" and "it's been a year," selected from a live vote. The crowd also elected a rebellious riff on Avril Lavigne's "Complicated" to close out her set.

Treaty Oak Revival was the headliner at the eclectic show. The band hails from Odessa, Texas, and consists of Samy Canty (lead and acoustic guitar), Lance Vanley (rhythm guitar and vocals), Jeremiah Vanley (lead guitar), Andrew Carey (bass), and Cody Holloway (drums).

Treaty Oak Revival brought it home with a rousing performance that brought Southern Texas to the Nashville stage with surprise guests Kimberly Perry (of The Band Perry), Carter Faith, Gideon, and Josee Klein. The band showcased their trademark blend of Red Dirt Country and Southern Rock on "Missed Call" and a cover of blink-182's "All The Small Things."

The audience was given a choice between a classic version of "Boomtown" and an amped-up "Super Boomtown". The latter won by a landslide, and as Ashley Cooke, Kashus Culpepper, Carter Faith, and hosts returned to the stage for one final hurrah, confetti rained down over the crowd in a celebratory moment for the true VIPs of the night.

I spoke to Jeremy and Lance Vanley before the concert, and they said it was the first time they had ever done a show like this. When they got the call from Red Bull, they were like "Whoa, this is a big deal!" And when they explained it to them, it was "What the hell is that?"

Nevertheless, the Treaty Oak Revival were a huge success as fans sang every word to each of their songs. Be sure to pre-save their latest album, West Texas Degenerate, out November 28, 2025.

With performances around the world, Red Bull Jukebox is an extraordinary concert where fans decide which songs from the artists' catalogs are performed and how, allowing them to experience a show in a completely new way. For over two decades, Red Bull has supported artists and local communities worldwide through live events, workshops, and artist collaborations, with this year marking the return of Red Bull Jukebox to Nashville, Tennessee.
