Our BXT ethylene filters, such as the BXT100 and BXT75, are cylindrical, single-use units that remove ethylene, bacteria, and mold from cargo in refrigerated containers, trailers, and cold rooms. These filters are compatible with organic produce—approved under USDA/NOP and EU organic regulations—and contain non-toxic salts and minerals. After use, the exhausted filter media can even be repurposed as an organic fertilizer, making it an eco-friendly choice. Installation is simple: place the filter in the air-return grille of the cooling system using the supplied zip ties.
Ethylene-Absorbing Sachets (“Sachet(s) absorbedor(es) de etileno”)
For more localized protection, BioXTEND’s ethylene absorbent sachets are designed to be placed directly inside cartons, boxes, or trays of produce. Available in 3 g, 5 g, and 10 g sizes (custom sizes on request), these sachets continuously absorb ethylene, bacteria, and mold spores from harvest through to retail. They are food-safe, non-toxic, water- and UV-resistant, recyclable, and approved for use with organic products. Disposal is easy and environmentally friendly: once spent, the sachets can be thrown away with regular waste.
