Since featuring the BoomTown Saints back in June of 2023, the duo's star has been on the rise.
As stated in the original feature in 2018, Chris Ramos quit his job as a healthcare rep, and Ben Chism chose music over medicine. They formed their dynamic duo, BoomTown Saints, and haven't looked back.
In 2025, BoomTown Saints were named CDX's Nashville Group/Duo of the Year. Other accolades include number one hits with "Heart Breaks You" in 2024 and the raucous "Blacktop Don't" in 2023. In 2024, they championed taking some time off with their hit "Good Day to Get Gone," and were named the 2024 Independent Artist of the Year from Music Row Magazine.
Ramos stated, "It's been crazy, a wild ride."
In early 2025, the introspective, sentimental "This Side of the Dirt" was number one on the CDX True Indie chart. So far, it has been their highest streaming single to date.
On June 6th, the pair released "The Runway," a heartfelt, girl-dad anthem where they are launching their daughters into the world. The song is a hat-tip to the fact that the pair have five daughters between them.
Ramos shared, "'The Runway' is about loving somebody so much that not only do you allow them to go, but you actually help them leave you."
They went full-on redneck in July with the 90s country-inspired song, "That Dog'll Hunt." The tune is an acknowledgement of that one friend who can party way harder than you can.
You rarely witness a duo with so much raw energy as BoomTown Saints. They jokingly attribute their vigor to a secret pre-show workout. But in all seriousness, they prepare all week for the 30 to 90-minute show that their fans look forward to.
"Our entire job is to make people forget that there are problems at home or problems outside those walls," they explain.
Besides being girl dads, Ramos and Chism are also loving husbands. More than two years ago, they wrote "A Good Woman" down in Muscle Shoals with James LeBlanc and Phillip White.
Chism stated, "That's been one of our favorite songs that we've ever written and recorded, and we're finally actually getting to push it out."
The song is an unintentional follow-up to their 2024 release, "Heart Breaks You," which featured Sam Grow. "A Good Woman" is a tribute to their wives. The song knowingly states, "A good woman makes you want to be a good man."
Ramos shared, "It was very easy to write that song because we just wrote it about our wives. They were literally the people who were put into our lives to make us who we're supposed to be. We would not be doing a fraction of what we're doing or be the fraction of the people we are without them."
The BoomTown Saints recently completed a show-stopping set at the Cavendish Music Festival in Canada and are scheduled to be part of the five-night 2025 Country Cruising trip alongside Trace Adkins, Clay Walker, and LoCash, from October 27th to November 1st.
The BoomTown Saints will continue to perform and release singles, including a Christmas single, throughout the remainder of the year.
