One of two suspects wanted for robbing Almaville Market was apprehended after a pursuit Monday morning in Marion County near Chattanooga, a Rutherford County Sheriff’s detective said.

Suspect Timothy “Timbo” Howell, 52, was taken into custody while second suspect Dewayne Halfacre fled, said Sheriff’s Detective Steve Kohler. Marion County law enforcement officers are actively searching for Halfacre.

The suspects were accused of robbing two clerks Friday at the market near Smyrna.

“They have been involved in violent criminal activities across Middle Tennessee,” Kohler said.

Detective Joseph Duncan obtained arrest warrants for Howell and Halfacre from Almaville Market charging them with theft of property, false imprisonment, possession of a weapon by a convicted felon, possession of a weapon during a dangerous felony, two counts of aggravated assault and aggravated robbery.
