IT professionals across Nashville and Middle Tennessee invited to join Nov. 17 for the one-day, virtual event

The Greater Nashville Technology Council has announced that registration is open for the 2020 Greater Nashville IT Summit, which will take place virtually on November 17 from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The IT Summit is a one-day conference that provides high-quality, forward-looking content to IT practitioners at all levels, as well as opportunities for networking and peer-to-peer learning. This year’s conference theme will be "Leading into the World That is Becoming," with keynotes, panels, and breakout sessions focused on how companies, individuals, and the greater Nashville tech community can and will excel in a post-COVID 19 world.

“The Greater Nashville IT Summit offers such an important opportunity to bring the IT community together, that we did not want to skip it,” said tech council President and CEO Brian Moyer. “Switching to virtual enables us to bring together an even wider array of attendees than in the past. We’re bringing a dozen presentations right to you that feature the same level of high quality content the IT Summit is known for.”

This year’s keynote speaker is author, strategy expert and futurist – and former Nashvillian – Kate O’Neill, founder and CEO of KO Insights. Known as “the Tech Humanist,” O’Neill is helping humanity prepare for an increasingly tech-driven future by teaching businesses how to make technology that’s better for humans. O’Neill has worked in technology, marketing and operations for more than 20 years, working with companies from startups to Fortune 500 corporations. Among her many achievements, she created the first content management role at Netflix, developed Toshiba America’s first intranet, led cutting-edge online optimization work at Magazines.com, was founder & CEO of [meta]marketer – a first-of-its-kind analytics and digital strategy agency – and held leadership and advisory positions in a variety of digital content and technology startups. O’Neill will kick off the Summit by delivering her keynote presentation, “A Tech Humanist Look at the Future of Nashville”.

Other guest speakers include IT experts from industries across the board. See the full list here

All presentations will include a live question-and-answer session with the host to ensure more opportunity for real-time engagement. Through the summit’s online event guide and mobile app, attendees will have more connectivity to chat live and schedule video calls with attendees and sponsors. Throughout the one-day event there will also be more opportunities for small group discussion and one-on-one meetings via online video to supplement the presentation content.

In its second year, the Summit is produced by Greater Nashville Technology Council and its members. The single-day 2019 Summit welcomed more than 300 attendees for more than 12 hours of professional development programming presented by 21 expert speakers.

Event registration is now open, for individuals and groups. Register here
