Murfreesboro Fire welcomes new administrative aide

Murfreesboro Fire Rescue Department is pleased to welcome Reisha Watson as the department's new Administrative Aide II. Watson started with MFRD on July 22, replacing Carol Whitaker who retired July 1.

Watson previously worked for the Murfreesboro Police Department (MPD) as an Administrative Support Specialist in the Training Division and has been with the City of Murfreesboro for approximately 12 years.

"With a Bachelor's of Science in Organizational Management from Tusculum College and her previous administrative support experience,Watson will be a very valuable asset to our team," said Fire Rescue Chief Mark Foulks.

Born and raised in Murfreesboro, Watson has been married to Retired MPD Lieutenant Sanders Watson for almost 10 years. Together, they have four children: Parker DeGraw (23), Sydney DeGraw (20), Ashton Watson (23), and Allie Watson (13).

In her spare time, Watson enjoys spending time with her family. She also likes to go boating on Tim's Ford Lake and loves baseball…Go Red Sox! Watson and her family attend New Vision Baptist Church.

"MFRD is a great department with wonderful people," Watson said. "When I saw an opportunity to join the team, I went for it!"
