Murfreesboro Meals-on-Wheels shared more than meals on Wednesday. Rebel Hill Florist, Nashville, donated smile mugs with fresh flowers as part of Teleflora’s Make Someone Smile Week

Dedicated volunteers deliver a hot, nutritionally balanced meal -- and a warm smile -- to 100 homebound seniors. Another 55+ are served at the St. Clair in the Senior Center, daily.

Join the network of two million volunteers across the country and #dolunch with Murfreesboro Meals-on-Wheels. Sign up today to deliver every day or once a month. Tennessee is the #VolunteerState, after all.

Pictured are volunteers Marlys and Gary Wulfsberg who’ve been delivering for Mid Cumberland Meals-on-Wheels (two wheels in this instance) for years, some of Mid-Cumberland Meals-on-Wheels smiling recipients of the flowers, and, the flowers.

One in 5 senior citizens in TN go to bed hungry every night. 30% of seniors choose between food and medicine. 35% choose between food and heat/utilities. MCHRA Meals on Wheels Program provides a hot, nutritious, lunchtime meal to homebound seniors 60 years of age.

Their meals are delivered by caring volunteers to homebound clients. Their homebound folks not only receive a hot meal….ready to eat…but also a visit/wellness check by their volunteers. Seniors are often forgotten. Be someone that remembers! Help the Elderly in your community.
